The Old Shop

In 2015 we bought The Old Shop – a fantastic stone built cottage, tucked into the side of the hills above Monmouth. The Old Shop needed a bit of TLC to transform it into a welcoming and modernised home from home. So over a 3 year period we painstakingly renovated the old part of the house and added a truly modern extension to create a unique holiday house of contrast; full of character with up to date comforts. The journey to transform The Old Shop was not straight forward – some of the pictures here show just a shell of the house, when it didn’t have a roof or windows. But gradually, we renewed each element of the house, ready to welcome visitors. In 2018 the house was finished – the end result? A truly spectacular 4 bedroom, luxury, self-catering holiday accommodation with OUTSTANDING views. We just love The Old Shop – we’re sure you will too and we look forward to you staying in our wonderful house.
