Newells Farm

At Newells Farm we offer three charming self-catering holiday cottages, each with its own garden. Old Dairy and Little Barn each sleep up to six people, plus a cot. Black Cottage sleeps up to four people. Bed linen and towels are provided. Pets are accepted for a small extra charge. Bookings normally run from Saturday to Saturday but shorter lets can be arranged. Newells Farm is a 650 acre grass and arable farm in the heart of the Sussex Weald and an ideal base from which to visit the many famous gardens, historic houses and castles and other attractions for adults and children in this lovely part of Southern England. Please contact us for availability and current prices.

Newells Farm dates back to the thirteenth century. If you enjoy walking, you can explore the many paths which run from the farmyard along the edges of fields and into the woods, where meandering streams have cut deep ghylls over the centuries. In early spring the woods are full of primroses and wood anemones and in late April and May, the bluebells in the ancient oak woodland form a breathtaking display. Roe and fallow deer are often seen as well as foxes and far too many rabbits. There are many different species of birds, including, in various seasons, barn owls, buzzards, larks, swallows, long-tailed tits, pheasant and woodcock.

Newells Farm is within easy reach of Brighton, with its beaches and many attractions, and the historic market town of Horsham is 5 miles away with a train service to London Victoria, very good shopping facilities and a farmers market every Saturday. A well stocked village shop is 2 miles away at Mannings Heath.
